Most students know the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) for its incredible underdog basketball team. But did you know it is also an underdog in financial aid?
UMBC offers a specific set of “Scholars Programs” that are separate from standard financial aid.1 These are prestigious merit awards that grant selected students between $5,000 and $22,000 per year.2
